RCHS welcomes EClub of Hawaii E Club Charter Party Apr 17, 2013 Tbe RCHS chartered the first EClub for D5000- Rotary E Club of Hawaii and celebrated at the BambuTu Cafe and Martini Lounge. President Russ Sumida celebrated with the RCHS and other D5000 clubs.

The award will be given to a Rotary Club District 5000 committee, group, or member who exhibits modesty, compassion, and persistence in providing leadership in the area of peacemaking to our island community or the world at large. ‘Peacemaking’ may include a wide field of work including humanitarian work and involvement in peace movements or advocacy of human rights, and mediation of conflicts.

Habilitat is a non-profit organization located in Kaneohe, Hawaii, and is as one of the most successful substance abuse treatment programs in the world.

Nine District 5000 Rotary Clubs met in Fellowship to celebrate Chinese New Year at Hee Hing Chinese Restaurant. "We found that more important than standardized test scores or memorization of data were the habits of mind ...like creativity and imagination..."
From 8:30– 11: a.m., these volunteers did landscaping, general clean-up, repainted the parking lot, basketball court and other recreational areas. It was a great team effort partnering with faculty and students from the school, to bring smiles to students & faculty @ Central Middle School. Service Project - Central Middle School Jan 22, 2011 The Rotary Clubs of Honolulu Sunset & Downtown Honolulu participated in Central Middle School's Annual Beautification Day. Rotarians worked along with other community groups, as well as students and faculty of Central Middle School to focus on needed areas of the school campus.

Club Meeting Jul 22, 2010 Tonight was Club Assembly Night - this type of meeting gives each member ownership in our club by giving them a "voice" in the workings of the club. The topic tonight was "Should networking be permitted?" Vocational, International, and Community Directors of service opened discussions in a round table style forum, and asked our members for new ideas and input for service for our new 2010-2011 Rotary Year.

Jul 8, 2010 Our Sunset Rotarians had a real treat tonight as we met at Dave & Buster's for a joint dinner meeting with the Rotary Clubs of Pau Hana and Diamond Head. The entertainment for the evening was the fabulous group of youngsters from Canada - The Langley Ukulele Ensemble led by Rotarian Peter Luongo.

  Vocational Visit to HASR Bistro Our club members enjoyed a visit to HASR Bistro and Winery. Terry Kakazu, owner, and Chef Rodney took the time to explain about their background, wine info while we enjoyed special cuisine and our favorite beverage.
  Jerry Chang Awards The Jerry Chang Peacemaker Award is presented annually to commemorate Jerry Chang’s passion for peace. The award will be given to a Rotary Club District 5000 committee, group, or member who exhibits modesty, compassion, and persistence in providing leadership in the area of peacemaking to our island community or the world at large. ‘Peacemaking’ may include, but not limited to, a wide field of work including humanitarian work in peace movements, advocacy of human rights, and mediation of conflicts.
